We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, comprised of 66 books. We hold that it was written by God, through men. The Bible is the only perfect and reliable guide to live our lives pleasing to God.
2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:20-21
We Believe that there is one true, holy God, expressed in the persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, making up the Holy Trinity. Each possess the same divine nature and are worthy of the same worship and obedience. In the beginning, He was the creator and is the sustainer of all things, and will fulfill his redemptive purposes and advance His Kingdom on earth.
Deuteronomy 6:4, Genesis 1-2, John 1:1,14, Matthew 28:19
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father, and came to earth to reveal who the Father is and what His will is for mankind. He was born of a virgin, and lived a perfect and sinless life, making Him the only One that can mediate between God and man. He willingly laid down His life, taking on the punishment for sin and becoming our substitute. He rose victoriously after three days, and will physically return to earth to rule and reign forever.
Matt 1:23, John 8:58, Hebrews 7:26, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Matt 28:6, Acts 1:9-11
We believe that in the beginning, man was created in God's likeness and image. The innocence of God's creation was marred when Adam and Eve sinned as they disobeyed God. This sin separated man from God, bringing physical and spiritual death with it.
Genesis 1:26-27, 2:17, 3:6, Romans 5:12-19
Man's only hope of salvation is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. The central theme of all of scripture is the revelation of Jesus, the only One who could pay the penalty for man's willful disobedience. Salvation can only be attained by repentance toward God and by faith in Jesus Christ. Man is then washed and regenerated by our faith in Jesus Christ. Luke 24:47, John 3:3, Romans 10:13-15, Ephesians 2:8, Titus 2:11, 3:5-7
We believe the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, was sent by the Father and the Son to the world to carry out the work of salvation in the believer's life. He enlightens the mind of sinners, awakens in them a need for a Savior, and regenerates them. He indwells every believer at the moment of salvation, and is the agent whereby man can live a life that pleases God. While every Christian receives the Holy Spirit, holy and godly living is accomplished by yielding to and being filled with the Holy Spirit, as a regular way of life. The object of the Holy Spirit's work in a believer's life is always to produce holy obedience to God, so that He will be glorified in all the earth. (John 14:15-21, John 15:26-16:16, Eph. 1:13-14, 1 Cor. 12:13, Eph. 4:30, Eph. 5:18, 1 Cor. 12:4-7)
The New Testament Church began on the day of Pentecost and consists of local bodies of believers, together, creating the world-wide Church. Scripture instructs us to gather together for the purpose of worship, biblical instruction, prayer, fellowship, the exercise of spiritual gifts, and outreach. We participate in the sacraments of Water Baptism, which is an outward profession of faith in Jesus Christ, and The Lord's Supper, which celebrates the death and resurrection of Jesus, and looks forward to the day when we will be united with Him as the Bride of Christ. Acts 2, Ephesians 2:11-22, 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, 1 Corinthians 12, Matthew 28:18-20
Divine Healing is an integral part of the atonement. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, James 5:14-16
We believe in the imminent, personal return of Jesus Christ. He will return for His bride, the Church, known as the rapture. He will subsequently return to set up His Millennial reign. At the end of 1,000 years, Satan will be cast into the Lake of fire for all of eternity. Those who have put their faith in Jesus will enter into eternal blessedness, while those who have rejected Him will endure eternal judgment. There will then be a New Heaven and New Earth, where we will forever be with our Lord. Matthew 24:27-30, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 19-21, 1 Corinthians 15
